A Parsippany, New Jersey Certified Public Accounting firm is seeking qualified candidates for an excellent career and leadership opportunity as a Senior Tax Accountant.  We are looking for a self-starter who wants to advance quickly.   Ours is a business casual environment.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Tax and Audit Accountant’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

·         Developing and maintaining productive relationships with client management throughout the year. 

·         Performing audits, reviews and compilations in various industries as well as ERISA, 401K and Not-For-Profit audits, with focus on complex and/or specialized issues.

·         Collaborating to plan engagement objectives and an audit strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately addresses risk. 

·         Applying knowledge of tax forms, tax concepts, computer applications and other source material and data to prepare and review U.S. individual, corporate, partnership and trust tax returns and tax projections. 

·         Keeping abreast of current and emerging technical developments. 

·         Developing specialized technical expertise. 

·         Preparing and presenting assignment deliverables to clients and ensuring client satisfaction.

·         Developing staff and delegate work appropriately.

·         Conducting timely performance reviews and providing performance feedback and guidance for staff CPE training.

·         Using technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery, as well as manage the firm’s triennial peer review.

·         Generating new business opportunities. 

·         Developing long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, Master’s degree a plus, along with CPA certification.

·         Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience performing financial statement audits and preparing tax returns for a Public CPA firm.

·         Must be proficient in Lacerte Tax, CCH Engagement and QuickBooks and well-versed in Tax preparation for Individuals, Partnerships, S Corporations, C Corporations, Foundations and Trusts.

·         Must possess excellent project management skills; advanced written and verbal communication skills; and be dedicated to teamwork and leadership.

·         Integrity within a professional environment a must.

Salary and Benefits: $80-90,000 plus; subsidized health benefits; and up to a 4% match on a 401(K) plan.
